How to create a professional invoice

An invoice (or tax invoice if you are paying tax) is a document sent by you, the coach, to the client. The invoice establishes an obligation on the part of the client to pay, creating an account receivable. 

There are online bookkeeping and accounting software that allow you to create beautiful looking invoices. A few of the most popular accounting software applications include: 

- Wave Accounting
- Xero
- Quickbooks
- Freshbooks


If you are not using an accounting software yet, here is a basic invoice template that we put together in Excel you can use to collect payments from your clients.

Remember to change the colours and logo to suit your branding!

Here are some of the recommended/required parts of an invoice that you should include 

>The word "invoice" (or tax invoice);
>Your Logo
>A unique reference (invoice) number 
>Date of the invoice;
>Credit terms
>Tax payments, if relevant (e.g. GST);
>Name and contact details of the seller;
>Tax or company registration details of seller, such as ABN ;
>Name and contact details of the buyer;
>Date that the goods or service was sent or delivered;
>Description of the product(s);
>Investment amount
>Total amount charged 
>Payment terms (including method of payment, date of payment, and details about charges for late payment

Once you have your back-end set up, you will be able to create professional looking invoices quickly, easily and and take payments seamlessly! Now you can focus on delivering WOW and an EPIC experience for your clients.
